Brush Island Picnic
Launch Site: Little Bar Restaurant, Goodland
Parking: There is PLENTY of parking. Across the street from LB there is another parking lot that they own, then across the street from THAT there are 2 more HUGE grass lots-we will all park on the grass lots after we unload.
Who: All paddlers invited
When: We will all meet at Little Bar starting at 830am or so for a 9 am launch. You are welcome to come early and launch, that would actually be helpful. The main group will head out to Brush Island at a leisurely pace. An optional fast group will head to Turtle Key and explore that area. The entire group will then rendezvous back at Brush Island at 1pm for lunch at the West Side beach.
Price: Lunch is being provided by Little Bar, the menu is below.Cost is $12.00 Soda and water is being provided by Naples Kayak Company at no cost. Transportion of food and drinks in coolers is being provided by American Airboat Tours. The cost of this service is being absorbed by PCPC.
Lunch Menu- your choice of:
Seafood Salad -
Shrimp and Crab meat on tomato with fresh fruits, usually grapes,
melon, strawberry, pineapple, orange slice ( assorted fruits, depends
on my purveyors price of the day) celery, cottage cheese and a mini
muffin.
Blackened Shrimp on Mixed Baby Greens
Large shrimp, red onion, sweet red peppers Italian dressing on the
side. Crackers and bread sticks.
Grilled Chicken Wrap
Strips of grilled chicken, romaine lettuce, red onion, shredded carrot
and Parmesan cheese with Creamy Garlic Caesar on the side.
Prime Rib Wrap
Prime rib wrap with a horseradish dressing on the side.
